My visit to Keuka Lake and this magical cabin brought me back to a place I love. My grandfather, William Hamann owned this land and planted the seeds of a vision for a natural refuge. He planted 8,000 trees in 1951 on this land. My dad, Melvin Hamann walked these woods with me. He taught me the secrets of nature and the deep love of a father. Mark and Phyllis have built a place to escape our hectic lives and return to God’s creations. My fathers’ spirit is alive here!

We were scheduled to leave this place on November 28^th but have had such a goot time that we decided to stay until tomorrow! We were here to spend Thanksgiving with family, and after driving 15 hours from Atlanta, it was great to be able to have our own cozy place in these beautiful woods. The cabin is decorated so nice and the personal touches really made us feel right at home. Thank you so much Mr. and Mrs. Enos for sharing your special place with us. We hope to be back to visit soon. Maybe for a few weeks this Summer! Thanks again!

We had an awesome long weekend at this cottage. What an awesome get-away!! We toured all the open wineries and enjoyed dinner at the Village Inn. We would love to come back in the Fall.

Happy New Year! What a wonderful place to spend the last days of 2008 and the dawn of 2009. We had about a foot of snow fall this week. We love this Winter Wonderland! We enjoyed wine tasting on Seneca and Keuka lakes. Our dog Gretta enjoyed morning runs in the woods and on the trails. We even braved the snowflakes and wind and sipped mulled wine around a fire as the flakes covered our backs and the fire warmed our faces. The warmth of the gas fireplace and floors were welcoming after long days in the elements. We hope to all return in the future! Thank you for sharing your house in the woods!

What a wonderful Christmas we had at this peaceful place. The moment my family and I walked in the door, we knew it was going to be a great holiday. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful place with us. You made our Christmas extra special. Our dogs enjoyed a walk in the woods. I especially enjoyed the fireplace. The warm floors were a great feature also. Our son was thrilled with the whole experience. We are outdoors people and have camped and stayed at other cabins. This by far is the best of them all.
